Worked great, easy to transfer circuit board & RFID chip. Extra screws provided.
It's a great replacement. The rubber covers on our buttons had deteriorated and broken. They were weather worn and ugly as well after 13 years. Now they look like new. It wasn't too hard to take the circuit board and the RFID chip out of one and put them into the other. Thoughtfully, they included the four screws to hold the battery cover on. In fact, they provided extra screws.
They are not exact duplicates of the original. The red LED indicator is a tiny hole instead of the invisible hole on the original. But it works great and now dirt can't get in through the broken button covers.
I had to clean my circuit board with alcohol and a toothbrush. It wasn't working properly which was another reason to update the FOB. After cleaning and assembly, everything worked perfectly. One good feature is that I didn't have to glue these together like the original. They snap together. I fixed two of our FOBs with these replacements.
I don't think these would be quite as waterproof as the originals (which could survive underwater dunking), but even the originals didn't always survive immersion. These appear to be substantially weatherproof and that's all I need.
