No battery! No frills
This inexpensive little pick-up does the job. No battery to replace. No balance to fool with, but that can be adjusted at the amp, if desired. Just does what it's supposed to do, and makes your accoustic guitar sound like an accoustic guitar.

Great fun read!
This is a real fun read. It is especially interesting for bluegrass music fans, but would be entertaining for anyone who likes music. It is an unusual perspective on a young woman's travel experiences, coming from the "buttoned-down" English life and voyaging through the rural South to learn how to transition from her formal violin training of her youth to the world of fiddle playing in the mountain music of Appalachia. She writes well, with a good snse of humor and self-depreciation. Definitely worth a look!

Good cable
Cable is very robust and looks like it will be durable. It is a little bit stiff but should not be a problem
