Good upgrade if you own a 4k tv
3 personnes sur 4 ont jugé cet avis utile. Not many games take advantage of it yet, but the ones that do look gorgeous. Besides games I found that the Netflix and Youtube players work way better with real 4k video than the apps included on tv.

Good but not great.
It's helpful in the dark with it's backlit screen, but in order to take multiple readings you have to keep turning it off because the reading stays for too long.
It is also difficult to take the pressure, because if the device is not completely perpendicular you have pressure leak, so, it's not very friendly. You need patience to take the pressure properly.

The best Dolby DAC+AMP combo you can find.
2 personnes sur 2 ont jugé cet avis utile. I already had a similar DAC, the Astro MixAmp Pro and the TurtleBeach DSS, both were good, and way better than the default sound coming out of the PS4 or my Mac, so I thought the SBX G6 would be a nice upgrade, but I never thought the difference would be so huge!
This little DAC+AMP delivers audio so clean and powerful that it even made my old desktop speakers come back to life.
For reference, the main audio outputs I use are the Audio Technica ATH-M50 and the Etymotic ER3XR, and this card completes the middle part I didn't know I was missing between my music and games and my ears.
One last note: I recommend to use ONLY optical output from your device(s) and feed only power through the USB in to the SBX. Though the OS can 'unlock' the 32-bit/384kHz, using optical in only delivers 24-bit/192kHz (on my setup) but the sound is way cleaner using the card on its own rather than having the OS controlling the card, which introduces noise.
