Shock quality and suitability
2 personnes sur 2 ont jugé cet avis utile. The main problem with buying shocks online is you can't evaluate the valving performance. I've had my swb 91 Pajero diesel for almost 30 years, and tried various shocks over that time - most of which have been next to useless. I took a punt on these. They are called X-treme (or some such thing), which is almost universally a sign of a crap product trying too hard. But not in this case. The valving is pretty much in line with the firm setting of the factory shocks (which are very good on the firm setting), and they perform pretty well. Body control is good (I drive my truck hard), and bump and rebound are very good. I'm hard to please and I'm entirely satisfied with these shocks. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants an excellent shock at a fair price, and would replace them with the same again in a heartbeat. One caveat: I haven't driven them super hard off-road, but some areas of NZ have a poor road surface and I haven't noticed any terrible degradation from fade so far. But then all shocks will fade if you work them hard for a long time.....
