Purchase of 2008 Dodge Dakota Sport Truck
I needed a new vehicle. I wanted a small truck so I could carry things back and forth between my houses in the Georgia Mountains, and Central Florida, including a wheelchair. I have had good luck with my Dodge Magnum, and my wife's Dodge Charger, so I started looking at Dodge Trucks. I didn't want a Ford Ranger, and I wanted to buy American. I also wanted a V8 Engine. It seems that Dodge is the only company making a small truck with a V8. The only truck I found that was a good size for me was a Dakota.
I started looking on Ebay, reading reviews, and checking out specs on the Dakota, and found that if I went to a dealer it was going to cost me $27,000 including Tax, Tag, Title, and Dealer rip off processing fee.
I looked at Ebay for a couple of months but never found the right combination of used truck that had what I wanted and was reasonably priced. I was about to pull the trigger on a new truck when this 2008 Dakota with 5000 miles on it appeared with a bid price, and a "buy it now" option. It was located near me, so I was able to contact the seller, and arrange a meeting with him to look at it. He was a nice guy, the truck was exactly as described, and it was equipped exactly the same way I wanted.
I though about it for a week, and then did a "Buy it Now". The transaction was painless except for writing the check. I saved about $11,000 by going used, and did not have to go to a dealer. It still had full warranty for 22 months, and 30,000 miles, so I did not have to worry about maintenance problems.
I have had it a little over a month now, and love the look, ride, and comfort. I get compliments from all sorts of people. My wife has driven it once, and feels comfortable enough to help with the driving to Florida.
This is the third vehicle I have purchased on EBay. All my transactions have gone smoothly with no bad experiences.

2010 Dodge Charger R/T
2 personnes sur 2 ont jugé cet avis utile. This car was for my wife. We own a Dodge Magnum R/T and have had good luck with the car, and like the power and fuel economy. My wife looked at a lot of cars, both domestic and foreign. She felt the most comfortable with the Charger. She likes the power, she is a bit of a leadfoot driver, and knew that the economy would be good.
We purchased the car on Ebay because the dealer offered a discount that was about $800 lower than the local dealer had to offer for the same car, and offered free delivery from North Carolina to Florida where we live.
