Garmin Virb XE Camcorder - Barely Used, in box with all accessories

Think very carefully before purchasing this product.

While the G-Metrix part of this camera is extremely cool, it is not always that reliable. Per Garmin, the camera has to be started while still in order for the metrics to work properly. Using this on my motorcycle, I'm VERY disappointed when I play the video back to find out things like my pitch and roll are blanked out (--) and not present. BATTERY LIFE ON THIS PRODUCT IS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS. Be prepared to purchase additional batteries if you want to use this camera for any length of time, and be ready to swap them out. Another option is to purchase the extremely overpriced power cable for it and wire that into your vehicle. The problem there is that this negates being able to mount it on a helmet or bicycle for extended battery life. Charging this thing is as screwy as can be until you understand what it is doing. Highly recommend getting an aftermarket drop in charger for the batteries here on eBay. Image quality is quite good, as is the Virb Edit software, available free from Garmin's website. You ***HAVE*** to use SDxc Class 10 cards in this. Nothing else will work and the camera doesn't power on with anything else in there. Explain that one... This was definitely a rush-to-market product that still has a lot of issues. There have not been any firmware upgrades released since 2015. Apparently you can no longer purchase this product from Garmin's website, which tells me that it's probably end-of-life, or damn near it. CAVEAT EMPTOR. Is it junk? Not really. Is it all it's cracked up to be? Absolutely not. Does it do what it says it does? Yes, but not very well, and not all of the time.

Kinda hard to go wrong with these things, so long as you are ordering genuine product and the correct terminal pitch/size.
