Magic? No. Good Item? Yes
Placed these in my Kenmore mechanical machine that I use for free motion quilting and my Janome MC 6600P. Seems to improve the sewing on both. Fewer snags in bobbin area and more consistent perfect stitches. These little teflon discs go between the bobbin and the casing and last a long, long time. Haven't had to replace them after at least a year of using them. Highly recommended.

I thought 'who needs these things:'
I wanted to try these after seeing them on a Craftsy quilting class but was unsure if they could really help that much. My hands tend to be dry and would tend to slide around on the fabric. I was really surprised, they do help you hold the quilt firmly in place and move it about while free hand quilting. They are light weight, cool and comfortable. So glad I bought them and highly recommend them.

Seam Guide for any metal based sewing machine
This magnet holds nicely near pressure foot. Assures accurate seams if you tend to meander. Would buy it again.
