Not the cheap alternative

Let's start with the pros: The key's microchip is compatible with the vehicle it is advertised for. Cons: You need to have the key cut by a locksmith specialized in cutting such keys. This will set you back anywhere between $25.00 and $60.00. After the key is cut to fit your car, you can now program it (you can do this step yourself, pretty simple) by following the online instructions specific to your car. Now your key will lock and unlock your car, however, this will not program the security feature that turns the ignition on. In order to get this feature activated. You'll have to go to the dealership or to a locksmith who specializes to perform such. This will cost you an additional $ 60.00 to $180.00 brining your new grand total to anywhere between $ 110.00 and $ 260.00 depending on your fortune. So much for the $ 13.00 target price you had in mind when you purchased the fob. The merchant does mention that you have to have two sets of working keys to program the new fob to your vehicle's security, but the description is definitely lacking true details or transparency. Bottom line: My $13.00 Key fob cost me $ 128.00. Keep in mind that for about the same price you can get a local locksmith come to your house and cut a brand new set of keys for you the same day.
