Just the right size for my PDP drum kit
I finally have a use for the accessory clamp on my tom mount to put a splash. Been enjoying the ability use my drum kit to it's fully potential configuration.

Nice upgrade to my stock PDP Maple Snare
Wood hoops do, in fact, change the characteristic sound of your snare. The ringing isn't entirely eliminated, but it does become less metallic in timbre. While it does not "quiet" your drum, it does seem to roll off the sharpness to your tone. So, there is a sense of mellowness overall. Your cross-stick will have a more "clave" like sound. Playing the rim, as with ZZ Top - La Grange, will be fuller sounding. And rim shots will have a more powerful "pop" to them.

Brings me back to my childhood
Mostly upbeat fun music. One track is quite avant garde. "The World is a Rainbow" brings back memories Kindergarden class.
