Quiet and reliable
I got one of these maybe 2 years ago and have used it by my bed almost every night until recently. The internal fan started making a rattling noise, so I opened it up to see if it just needed cleaning or something I could fix.
It did need cleaning, but that didn't help the noise so I just got a new one. The old fan is going bad. I also found that after a couple years, these things get pretty dirty inside. Probably best to replace them once a year.
Cons: has a bright blue light in the water tank that lights up the entire room at night. They claim blue light wakes up your brain so is bad for sleeping. And I prefer a dark room for sleeping. Also, it could use some sort of filter to prevent the buildup of dust inside.
