A Treasure!

This has been a treasured VHS tape in my collection for years, and now I have an excellent copy of the DVD, remastered beautifully -- and needless to say, more space on the shelf (though I am hard pressed to relinquish the VHS...). In any regard, the item was shipped quickly, packaged well, and in excellent shape upon arrival. Couldn't be more satisfied.

Excellent

I am not qualified to review a classic such as "War and Peace". However, I can tell you that the paperback I received from this company was in more than good shape. Though the confirming email stated that there might be underscoring, highlighting, and dog-eared pages, the cover, spine and pages were in pristine condition. This particular edition is an older translation, much easier to navigate than the heavily-footnoted newer translations that are laden with footnotes and do not translate a lot of the French within the text, making it very cumbersome to read. I am fully satisfied with this purchase and would recommend this publication and edition for anyone who just wants to kick back and enjoy one of the best novels of all time.
