Upgraded from an i3-550. Never looking back.
6 personnes sur 6 ont jugé cet avis utile. I just recently installed a gtx 1050 ti and noticed that my i3 was bottlenecking Halo 5 Forge and Forza Horizon 3. I have an OEM Gateway motherboard and I upgraded my ram to 12 gbs. This is the best LGA 1156 processor thats also the cheapest. It is the same as an i7 870 (but 40 dollars cheaper and supports more RAM). I took out my heat sink and the old i3. Popped this in and hoped my oem mobo would support it. I put everything back and turned it on and it worked. Everything was slow for a little bit and only one of my monitors was being detected, so I waited and then it sped up to full speed. I ran Halo 5 and Forza and hit 60+ FPS. I’m very happy with its performance.
