Only because of lack of choice

I wanted to install electronic ignition on my IH 444 tractor to avoid dealing with burned points. Installation is pretty easy. This module fits the IH distributor specifically, replacing the breaker points. BUT... I wrecked the first module by leaving the ignition on too long while trying to get it started after it flooded. I’ve replaced it, and it’s running nice again, but to me it’s idiotic to design this without enough heat dissipation that it can handle the constant current with the switch on and engine not running. If I had any other option to fit the 444’s distributor, I would have gone with it for replacement.

Good value, runs well

Seems to be well-made. I wasn't expecting too much for the price, but I'm satisfied with it so far. The paddle switch works great... better than the switch on my Hitachi grinder. The one thing I don't like so much is having two different guards and needing to change them for different types of discs. Not the best design... c'mon P-C! But, since I bought it as a secondary grinder, so I can have two grinders with two different types of discs on them, I won't be changing the type of discs very often.

Pricey but works well

Time will tell if it’s a good value. Looks like a good sturdy tool, so I expect it will last. The instructions are printed in small font... kinda small for my old eyes. Need to read carefully to make sure the tool is set up right for each operation. A must have these days for chains that come with river master links.
