Shocks rubbed my right bag and pipes drag the ground in corners.
I really wanted this kit to work on my 2016 Street Glide Special... Unfortunately for the type of riding that I like to do (and the majority of all other Harley Riders like to do) I made the decision that the lowering kit had to come off my bike. When I first installed the kit it appeared to be great, my feet were firm on the ground and the ride didn't feel any different than the factory setup. Here's where I had an issue, I went on a ride with a small group and we were riding through the Ozark's along the twisty highways and when I would get into a tight corner my exhaust would rub and throw sparks all the way through the curve. Left corners and right corners, it didn't matter. Now, if you are thinking I didn't have my adjustable shocks firm enough, well I did. Another issue I had was the right shock rubbing the inside of my right saddle bag, thankfully I discovered these issues early. At first glance when installed there appears to be plenty of clearance for the shock, but in real use they rub the bag. For me a little touch up paint and I'm okay, I'm just thankful I caught it before the shock rubbed a hole in my bag.
After saying all of this, I believed the kit is strong and if you are a rider that mainly stays on pretty flat straight highways or interstates you probably won't have any issues. I hope this helps anyone trying to make a decision on whether to go with this kit. The kit I purchased was the Tamarack Machine Works for a 2010 and newer Harley touring bikes with spring shocks.
