Like the hardback books to hold. The purchase was a good value and in incredible shape. Any reader of history would enjoy the Kelley family's generational story woven throughout the book.

bogged down in countless repetition of years and events

The book is factual. I can see the individual slaves while reading. The author details the slave traders stories. I am currently halfway through the book and hope to reach something to want to finish.
