Not like the long-lasting original
The original NuTone was a totally-sealed motor. It was awesome. Considering that this motor is specific to a bathroom ceiling exhaust fan through which steam, human dander and hair spray (aka "glue") will flow copiously, I expect this motor to choke and die in a year. The original lasted 25 years. This one is plug-n-play, bolts right in, is just as quiet, draws the same current. I have no choice but to recommend this motor because there is no better motor available. The build quality is good, but the design to let the filthy air run through the windings and the bearings ranks this as a "consumable/disposable" motor. Consequently, for the price the value is marginal. As my wife points out, "Well, it is better than chopping a hole through the wall."

Much better than the product sold at the box staples store
Much better than the product sold at the box staples store. This one does not jam, takes less force to staple, and hols 5x the number of staples. Both products were tested using the staples generic brand of, well, staples. Same paper, same number of sheetees, even same humidity and temperatures on the exact same table. I had 50% pull-and-restape with the box store brand. I had no pulls using this product. It did not hurt my pride that this product cost less, so I returned the box store 50-staple clunker.
