Update: Chips work well, but require a more careful install

Update on previous review... Upgrading from 1 to 4 stars. I found out that with the shape of this chip being larger than the other chips I have installed on lens adapters, it took some extra work to ensure it fit correctly. I found that I had to glue the chip to the adapter, and connect the adapter on its own to the camera to verify the fit over the electrical contacts. Once I confirmed it fit in place correctly, then the camera recognized the chip when the the DSLR was turned on.

The Canon EG-S focus screen is incredibl...

The Canon EG-S focus screen is incredibly helpful for use with manual focus lenses. It does dim the viewfinder, but it also has minimal glare and enables precise focusing. If you take photos outdoors, then the dimming effect isn't noticeable. When used indoors, then the dimming is about 1.5 stops dimmer in the viewfinder. I used it on my infrared converted Canon 6D, which is almost exclusively shot outdoors, so I notice no difference. If anything, it helps in bright situations. Recommended
