Works as advertized, I recommend it.
I weigh 225lbs. and have not had problems at all with this clamp. I even use one where I've moved the seat mounting an inch behind the post, which adds extra stress, and it holds fine.

Great 3 speed shifter
Replaced my original SA Classic Trigger Shifter with this, and it works great.This one fits standard 7/8" (22.2mm) handlebars, which is why I replaced my original trigger shifter. I am using it with a 1981 Sturmey Archer AW hub, and it indexes even better than the original shifter. Good quality as always with a SA part.

Old 90s Suntour products rule
Works great with my Suntour Alpha 5000 derailleurs and shifters. 30 year old technology, and shifts better than low end 2020 products. Highly recommend it for any vintage bike with 126mm or less rear wheel spacing, to upgrade from friction to index shifting.
