Worked with no software issues
I have 3 HP printers. One at our vacation home got little use and the HP inkjet heads kept drying up. Further, on the two HPs at my principle residence, HP made my life miserable with their software that made using aftermarket ink almost impossible. Someone on a review opined the seldom used vacation problem is solved with a laser printer. So, I reviewed printers, found the Brother all-in-one fit my needs and reviews stated I could use an aftermarket toner cart. without a problem. I have now replaced my 3 HP printers with 2 Brother MFC L2740DW printers. I give the Brother printers 5 stars out of the box. I then purchased these TN660 cartridges. Because of the short return policy, I immediately opened them, took out the Brother toner [hopefully to be used as my backup] and put these in the machines. I shut the printer door, looked for some software message, saw none and printed away. I have been printing for a few weeks with no problems. My life with HP printers is now over. I'm happy. I would have given 5 stars but when I opened the cart., the dry ink had scattered on one end of the cart. so it took me some careful cleaning before I put it in the machine.
