Great price, great sound.
I purchased the Alnico-5 Humbucker sized P-90 pickups to replace the ceramic humbuckers that came stock in an Epiphone Les Paul 100. The purchase was easy, shipping was pretty rapid, considering it had to go coast to coast. I received them today, and had the guitar prepped and ready to go, so I popped them in this afternoon. I have to say, I wasn't expecting much for under $40 for two pickups, but I was thoroughly surprised. The string spacing is spot-on, and they have the punch and bark that I expect from P90s. I think they may be louder than the humbuckers I replaced. And best of all, they are very, very quiet. I've only played through them for a couple of hours, but so far I am thoroughly impressed. An enthusiastic two thumbs up. (Incidentally, I used 330K pots for both tone and volume controls, with a .022 capacitor on the neck pickup, and .047 capacitor on the bridge.)
