Upgrade your computer vs buying a new computer
This processor was one of several that my computer is able to accecpt as a upgrade. Since this has dual core it was my best best option. The response time is faster and I can do multi tasking with several programs running at the same time. You can purchase a new computer with quad core and spend a lot more money. However the cost of the processor and my knowledge to do myself was far less than spending $1000.00 or more for a new computer vs a upgrade to the one I already own.
