I then realized my machine has more issues and could not be fixed. I let the seller know I wanted to return and he told me what to do. I mailed it back and just got the refund. Makes your old heater work like new again!
My original heat exchanger was old version with plastic headers on both ends. This new one installed into my pool heater as advertised. Had to relocate the pressure switch and the 160 F high temp limit switch to the single header but it was not difficult. My heater works perfectly again. Glad that Hayward has this product available as an new pool heater is about 3 times more expensive!
