W8LO Woodburning Stove

I own, and have made numerous backpacking wood stoves. This is my favorite. I has all of the features I always wanted, in a very lightweight package. The most outstanding feature of this stove, is the fuel feed port. On most portable wood stoves in this class, fuel must be broken up into short pieces, and fed continuously, in order to keep the fire going. This stove, has a raised windscreen/pot-stand on it, which has a very generous port cut into it. This allows you to use pieces of wood up to about a foot in length. I had no difficulty boiling two quarts of water, and kept it at a rolling boil for over an hour. Using the longer pieces of wood, allowed me to leave the fire for a few minutes at a time with no issues. That is something I have never been able to do before. This is a great combination of practical size, and lightweight rugged construction, which I highly recommend. Combined with it's very reasonable price, I think this stove is unbeatable.
