Awesome product. Great feel and quality.
I purchased this lens for a Nikon F4S. G series lenses do not allow you to shoot in full manual mode due to no aperture controls. The weight and feel of the lens is much more solid than the newer plastic ones. Open at 1.8, this lens will produce very nice portraits. Image quality is very nice. Well worth the price.

A solid telephoto lens
5 personnes sur 5 ont jugé cet avis utile. This lens is what you'd expect. The cost justifies it 100%. The build quality is amazing. It is not plasticy like so many of the other Nikkor lenses. The image quality is superb and so are all of the functions, including zooming, focusing and VR.
Yes I know the VR2 is out, but this lens is still awesome if you can find one in good condition. It is heavy, but do not let that turn you off from purchasing.
