False Advertising - Fan only has 2 speeds

This fan only has 2 speeds (unless "off" counts as a speed). Otherwise it's about what I expected. Why advertise 3 speeds when you only have 2?

Lived up to my expectations and childhood nostalgia

I've been a fan of Doom since Doom 2 came out in 1994 and this is an amazing new addition to the series. It lives up to the brutally unforgiving nature of the old games in terms of difficulty and # of monsters attacking you at once. Even playing on the medium difficulty ("Hurt Me Plenty") I found my heart pounding in my chest at the end of every major fight scene. The glory kills are fucking amazing and each weapon has merit even towards the end of the game. They really focused on every detail of this game to make a terrifying experience even for seasoned Doom players. Even the menu music strikes a sense of terror into my heart. Also, if you find the right secrets in the game you can unlock classic maps to replay them with the new weapon models and monsters. All the best levels of Doom / Doom 2 can be found hidden in this game if you look hard enough. One last thing...the music is wonderful. That is one thing that ID software games never mess up (think Quake 2, Doom classic, Rage). I have very little intention of playing the game online and I still think it's worth the $ you pay for it just to play the single player campaign.
