Filter

Works. Replaced mine because the bottom cap blew off. Pricey for such a small filter but it’s the only one for the CH separator.

Could use improvements

Granted that this sauce maker is not a top quality or low end unit but it could use a bit of modification. The thumb screw which locks the strainer in place from rotating, does not sit flat on the grinder body. It sat on the tapered screw that the strainer is rotated on to tighten it up to the grinder body. It would have been better the strainer lip be longer so that the thumb screw threaded down behind the tapered screw. I processed cherry tomatoes with it and twice the strainer came off. Maybe another thumb screw on the other side would help or make the tapered screw taller with deeper nubs on the strainer to hold it in place. The red plastic auger should be longer inside the grinder body as the cherry tomatoes fell into the space between the end of the auger and the handle end. I believe the strainer fell off due the pressure to expel the seeds and skins. Lastly, the waste end cup should be designed to screw on rather than clips. I was afraid that the clips would break trying to take the waste end off for cleaning. In all, it’s a decent product for the money. If you’re planning on doing a lot of processing, pay more for a better unit.
