Gucci Goodness!
I've been wanting this watch for years. At full retail, I honestly do not think it is worth it, just for a quartz watch with the Gucci name. But, it was nearly half price here, and I've always wanted to add a Gucci watch to my collection, so, despite nothing stunning about the specs, it was definitely worth it.
As a Swiss Made watch, the finishing is certainly solid, and it is beautifully made, with a wonderful leather strap and deployant clasp. The dial is very handsome.
Very often this watch hobby makes little sense, haha, but, this is certainly a wonderful watch and I'm very pleased.

Beasty!

Surprisingly nice sheath at this price with pocket to add your own sharpening stone or even a small tac light. Great piece of kit at a great price, terrific, unusual knife that looks as good as it will perform. Takes a beautiful edge. Very pleased with this purchase!

Bold, beautiful, comfortable!

While Invicta is not known for brand credibility in certain circles of the watch world, models like this are why it remains so popular with brand enthusiasts. A big, bold, beautiful model, this is a typical large style Invicta offering, even though it comes in at the upper end of what one should ever consider spending on an Invicta watch.
It is thick, massive, yet fits so comfortably on the wrist, and the dazzling high polish finish is extremely attractive, not to mention the alluring black mother of pearl dial, which gives great color shift under various lighting. 200m water resistance, sturdy Flame Fusion crystal, solid bracelet links, and a Swiss Ronda 8040.N that gives a split time chronograph, running small seconds, vertical date display and retrograde day indicator. Although assembled in China, it exudes quality, typical of pieces in the Reserve model line.
Bracelet sizing is made easy with simple cotter pins, and the usual fold over double lock clasp, with a machined bridge piece, results in a very solid feel, with micro adjustments giving a perfect fit.
It is actually a numbered "limited" edition (although that doesn't mean much, given the generous number made, multiplied across model variations) that is a 15th Anniversary release for the Russian Diver models. Oddly, it doesn't resemble any of the Russian Divers, and actually was released previously as an Excursion model I think (and retains the Excursion style bracelet), but it is nonetheless a case style I have kept missing out on buying, so I'm glad I snapped up this one. The large case is made friendly with the pushers and crown located at the case bottom, creating a very balanced appearance, and, as mentioned, it is very wrist friendly, despite the size.
Let's face it, these aren't high end watches, but they are a lot of fun, the quality for cost point is excellent and, in their price range, they remain hard to beat, with seriously out of the norm styling that is far more interesting than the usual 40mm three hander. You'd have to pay thousands on thousands for any big chunky high end brand and, for what you pay for this, no options exist in a MOP, with retrograde day display, generously sized and decently finished as it is here. A typical drawback on this model is Invicta's dull lume and, for quartz haters, it won't have appeal, despite being an excellent and reliable, accurate movement packed with features.
In short, it is at the higher price point for Invicta tolerance, but it is a unique watch even among Invicta models and I felt it was worth it. It is the brand that started me off, and, despite expanding out to high end brands as the years have passed, I still love this brand for the sheer joy and fun of the models they create, that are unique in the watch world and are so low priced for the great product provided. I've never had issues with any of mine, and I'm sure this one will equally please as time goes by.
Highly recommend for a very different look to add to your collection!
