Superb Detail

Small figure (30mm high) with an amazing degree of detail in the casting. Nothing disproportional about this, as you find as you go to smaller and smaller miniatures. Even the piper's plaid is pleated! Base is large enough, no balancing issues. Really a first-class piece of the miniature-maker's craft!

I can't rate the tester, itself, yet, so a placeholder is selected. The sealed box was mashed on receipt, but the tester in its travel case emerged without a scratch. I'm disappointed that it didn't work right away; I'll have to replace the battery and try again. Seller did everything right, though, so full marks!

Intro to Haudenosaunee Culture

A simple, but interesting, story provides cover for what is, at its heart, an introduction to the culture of some of the indigenous people of the Northeast. Mr. Harrington had real bona fides in this area of study. (He was married, later, to a granddaughter of Handsome Lake, the great Seneca chief and prophet.). A truly good read and a fascinating introduction to life among the Haudenosaunee.
