Replace the thermocouple and maintain safety at a reasonable price
0 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. The water heater would not remain lit. Cleaning the thermocouple did not help. The t/c has a small disk-shaped device that a standard replacement t/c does not have. The local hardware store said the device is a resistor and we had to replace the entire burner assembly at a cost of $285 if we wanted the resistor. But most plumbers say you can replace it with a standard t/c. The 'resistor' is in fact a high temperature switch. The heater has a sealed combustion chamber, with the air coming through a filter, that can plug and cause a lazy flame condition. The high temp switch is to shut off the gas if this occurs. The Reliance assembly allowed us to make a proper repair for about $35.

They fit and are stainless steel
A brake line on my daughter's Jeep Wrangler corroded and started leaking. I did a repair and ordered a set of stainless lines from Dorman. The line to the rear and the branch lines to the rear wheels replaced the originals with no problem. The front lines are hard to get to. I noticed that they were still in good condition so I left them alone. I must admit that since I did this I've heard of lines made of a copper alloy that is both flexible and corrosion-resistant approved for use as brake lines. I would check in to having a shop install this if I were to do it over. But then I'm over 65 and working under cars is not as much fun as it used to be.

Does what it is supposed to do
I've never used one of these before so I can't make any comparisons. But after getting the buttons figured out (you need to read the directions) it does a good job of converting old slides to decent looking photos.
