Best EF mount 35mm film camera value! No contest. Seriously. With reliable AF, easy functions, built in TTL flash, auto winding, excellent metering, tons of advanced features in a lightweight body, and a full detail LCD readout on the film back, this Rebel Ti stands to be THE best film camera canon ever made in the rebel line. But it doesn't stop there...this camera has a metal lens mount. Most rebels have a plastic lens mount. This means that for many enthusiasts with professional EF glass (especially that heavy telephoto stuff) looking to re-engage with film photography, this is the most cost effective way to enter the space. With autofocus and all the smart features at your fingertips, you'll still retain auto focus, and other DSLR familiarities without any compromises. Think you want to go higher up the range and get an A2E? A2? EOS 5? Elan 2e? Elan 7e? Well just chill out unless you wan to spend 3x to 5x the money. My Elan 7e is a dream of a camera, and so is my EOS 5...but it can't work with my Tamron 3rd party lenses, or my modern canon L series lenses. This Rebel Ti works fine with all of them - including lens stabilization and servo AF. For anyone with a modern EF lens set, just pick this camera up for a fraction of the cost. Since it reliably delivers the exact same or better results than the pro bodies in 95% of scenarios, you won't regret it.
