Lots of functions, has viewfinder and uses AA batteries.
Although it is a shirt-pocket point and shoot, it has a threaded lens opening to accept optional lenses - both wide angle and telephoto - that significantly enhance the utility of the camera. Most importantly, the camera has a viewfinder for easier picture taking outdoors, especially in bright light. The camera accepts AA batteries and will work well with Alkaline ones although it works much better and takes more photos with NiMh rechargeable AA batteries. Newer point and shoot cameras most often require rechargeable proprietary (and relatively expensive) batteries and very few have a viewfinder.
