Only OK since it cost $50!
Surprised it has lasted this long. Have seen it at $100 or more, which would have been excessive. At the price I paid it has been used for almost 2 years and has been OK. That said, it bows since it IS plastic, and it will break on day. When it does...that will likely be a bad day.

Super braking on my bike!
Have SLR brakes on my Jamis Quest Elite. The bike had standard blocks rather than separate pads and holders. They were also 50mm rather than 55mm as these are. I was going to spend a lot more money on Swiss Stops, but since I am in So Cal, and I never ride in the (rare if ever) rain anyway, I tried the dry-compound OEM units. What a difference!
If I was in a rainy part of the world perhaps I would have tried the OEM holders with the older 53 compound (x700 series) vs the 54 dry compound (x800 series). But for my local these were a GREAT improvement! The calipers are SH 451 SLR and the pads are smooth, lineal, and well modulated.

Way better than the OEM!
This is one slick piece of work! So much smoother than the stock part was. Who would have guessed.
