Wonderful pictures, great information for your typical truck-loving boy.
My toddler loves this book, and its content is mature enough that he will enjoy it for years.

Alan Rickman is a slithering chaplain, Obadiah Slope, who skulks and schemes in greedy ambition to ascend the clerical ladder. He meets his match in Mrs. Proudie (Geraldine McEwan), the bishop's wife. Rigid animosity develops between these two as they compete in the manipulation of the spineless bishop. Susan Hampshire as Senora Madeline Neroni, adds a festive sparkle in her own contribution to the running of other people's lives in the community of Barchester. She outwits the wiles of Obadiah Slope, neatly and so prettily putting him in his rightful place. Nigel Hawthorne is the spirited Archdeacon, who spews forth his contempt of the "bestial Slope" with appropriate vehemence. In the midst of all these overbearing and very humorous characters are two figures around whom the entire drama is focused: the excellent warden of the hospital, Septimus Harding (Donald Pleasence) and his sweet, feisty daughter, Eleanor. The unsung hero and heroine merely wish their lives to continue undisturbed by wretched scandal. Be transported to Barchester as you watch this terrific movie to find out if they get their wish.

Essential for your library!
Beautiful artwork depicting English landscapes, animals and children. Down to earth story of everyday life on a sheep farm. We want to go there and share the experiences of this family after reading her books. Planning to add to our collection so we don't miss any. My toddler son loves these books, and I love them as well.
