New Shurflo Marine and RV 12V Water Pump ~ 3.0 GPM 4008-101-A65

Great Replacement Pump

I replaced a 13 year old shurflo pump with this model. Its slightly larger and it pumps just a little more gpm. since I added a winterizing kit, I had to relocate the new pump. The discharge hose was too short. I added about 24" of hose to the discharge side and made a complete loop before I connected to the pump. My old pump was really loud, I could hear it over the generator running. Now I have to go in the room where the new pump is located to tell if it is running. I don't know if my old pump was just going bad or what. this new pump is so much quieter and more powerful. I love it and the price was very good compared to some of the local rv stores in my area. If you have enough space to put a slight larger pump, I recommend this pump. One note, it would not shut off at first, but I disconnected the discharge end and pumped a little water thru it, reconnected and it worked just fine. By the way my old pump use to do the same thing. I don't know why.
