Diawa = not top of the line

I have fished extensively with several different top brand reels over the years and I wouldn't consider Diawa to be a "top brand". I wanted to give it a try since I've never owned one and was looking for a super high speed reel for a good price. Cons: It is heavier than most reels. It is bulkier than most reels. The thumb bar is clunky engaging and release. Pros: It's a good price for a 8:1-1 ratio reel. I'll stick to Quantum.

Don't waste your money

This stuff doesn't work even a little bit. I followed the directions and nothing happened. Way too expensive for basically dish soap.

A little better than average

Protector fits well and comes with all the necessary tools to install but it claims they are bubble free. It is not! I’ve got two huge bubbles on mine now and I don’t want to waste one of them to try again.
