Nickel and Dimed
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. I read this book years ago and bought a copy for my mother to read. Everyone who works, both white collar and blue collar, should read this book. This is how most people in America live. It's a constant struggle to feed oneself and have shelter AND pay bills on minimum wage. Ehrenreich writes well and makes her point while keeping her sense of humor. Once you start, you won't be able to put it down.

Saved my bacon for school and is a fantastic film also!
I needed to watch a biofilm and am a big fan of Ed Wood. So it was a natural that I bought this DVD. I had seen the movie when it first came out and it was as funny and sweet as I remembered. I got an A in the class. Thank you for sending the DVD to me promptly.

A Great Start to a Great Trilogy
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. Sadly, Steig Larson died in 2004 and this book had been turned in with the following two manuscripts already. He was quite a talent. Although I have not read the entire book, my mother has and we have pretty similar tastes. She could not put the book down. I had read a bit of The Girl Who Played With Fire and quite enjoyed his style. It's hard to find a good writer these days. My favorite writers are usually NOT on the NYT Bestseller List. I want to read real talent, not the writer who can afford to hire a publicist.
