Good model of the 1948-1950 Ford F-1
This is an older kit, and I don't think it has been re-released recently. It is a very accurate version of the very first Ford F-series truck. It has many details that most other model companies omit. The water pumps and lower radiator hoses are almost never modeled on the Ford Flathead V-8, but they are on this kit. Also, the Y-Pipe exhaust is modeled correctly here.
Only a couple of faults. The F-1 emblem is not molded into the cab side. Strange since it is a key part of this truck. Also, the factory rear view mirror was a black stalk coming off the door hinge.

Hard to find set
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. 8-point sockets are getting hard to find. These Craftsman parts are not listed by Sears anymore. They are very useful for removing drain plugs from transmissions and differentials on older cars when they are located in areas where an adjustable wrench does not have clearance. Some old cars also use square nuts for electric terminals.

This is a great model. I have built it ...
This is a great model. I have built it before- this one will be used along with a 1937 pickup model from Revell to build a 1940 pickup. All the parts are there- some sectioning grafting and sprue-goo, but with some product data should be modeling fun!
