I have used these to pump drinking water for many years.
The weak spots of this item are the cover over the switch gets broken, or they get dropped on the silver end, breaking the plastic brush holder inside. These were the only products like this for many years, but there is now a China competitor that I have not tried. I may not because "If it ain't broken, don't fix it!"
