Who needs a Kindal?

The Palm tx is great: As a calender, it can be set to audible alarm mode. All it's advertised functions work very well; Its' long battery life fascilitates it as an ereader. Cheaper, too. I have several libraries on my palm SD cards. One drawback: the on/off button. It fails frequently and should be redesigned. I get around that problem by dedicating one of the other buttons as an on/off button using 'power-butt 2', a free, downloadable, easily installable program.

who needs kindle?

The Palm tx is the most underrated ebook reader on the market. You can keep minutiae of your life in it, keep track of it, set it to alarm you when you need it, and store as many ebooks in multiple formats as you have SD card memory for. I keep several entire libraries in the tx and am able to download information from public domain to word documents and everything in between. The only downside is the on/off button. It will eventually fail, though the rest of the unit goes on strong. (there is a downloadable on/off program you can dedicate one of the other buttons to.) Palm needs to fix this problem! Otherwise, buy this product!
