Wonderful guide to the feel of Southern Italy
This is a wonderful guide for those who want to get a feel for this Southern Italian provence: its history, customs, food and atmosphere. It is not designed as a travel guide in the typical sense, but if you are planning a trip there, this work, penned by various authors, is highly recommended.

A collection of swingin' tunes which goes beyond the standards!
This compilation is a pleasant surprise! the multi-faceted Steve Allen wrote literally thousands of tunes in his career, most of which are not well known. In the hands of these talented players, headed by Terry Gibbs on vibes and Buddy DeFranco on clarinet, these tunes, which are quite varied in tempo and form, come to life. If you are looking for a collection of jazz that charts unfamiliar territory, give it a try!

Looney Tunes-Golden Collection
1 personnes sur 1 ont jugé cet avis utile. As a person in my 40's, I fondly recall waking up to the "Looney Tunes" cartoons every Saturday morning, or as a prelude to a motion picture. Of course, most of the "Looney Tunes" I grew up with were made in the 50's and early 60's.
This collection is an exhaustive compilation of the "Looney Tunes" of the 1930's through the 1960's. There are 4 DVD's in each volume, and most are not particularly organized in any meaningful way. Still, the remastering is wonderful, with clear sound and strong pictures. I could also have gone without Whoopi Goldberg's "politically correct" statements about the humor of the "Looney Tunes."
Nevertheless, if you love classic cartoons, this is a treasure trove of material. You probably won't watch them all at once. Savor just a couple and then watch the feature presentation at home. My guess is that you will still be laughing hours later.
