Nostalgic!! Love this game!!

I used to play this game all the time as a teenager, I was so happy to be able to find the original game. The new version has pre-made enclosures and is a drag and drop style game and that is boring! I much prefer the design freedom you get with the 2001 version. I did not have to have a fancy gaming computer to play the game, it loaded perfectly to my cheap $230 laptop, you do however have to make sure your computer has Windows software to run the game. While it is an older game and the graphics are not as good as the newer games and it dose take longer to load, it is still, to this day, one of my favorite games.Lire l'avis complet...

This Game is Great. Worth $!! Needs minor Improvements.

This game is awesome. It is also good for people who like to manage money, zoo rating, animal happiness, and guest happiness. It is very hard to make money if you have a large zoo however, unless you have happy people. Remember, happy people give a lot of money in donations and buy a lot of stuff!! I once had a zoo that made 20- 30 thousand dollars a month off of donations alone! One thing that can get tedious is keeping the animals happy, and building perfect animal exibits. Also, it takes so much time to build a nice, decorative wing of the zoo. I wish there was some way to get animals into exibits quicker when you want to make a large zoo more quickly.This game keeps a good balance of managing money, with in-depth income and expense pages, and being able to have fun building and playing with the animals. It is fun having shows with dolphins, orca's, sea otter's etc. Making toys for the animals and just watching them is very satisfying. I like the wide range of animals, buildings, and zoo objects, which add a lot to the game. There are conventional zoo animals, water animals, and dangerous dinosaurs(which are fun to let loose on you park, hehe,) included in this pack. One thing that could be improved is the sound. Sometimes when you move across the map, you get loud tank filter noises and people chattering noises. Fun and Educational

I used to love playing Zoo Tycoon as a kid and wanted to play it again. It is a classic and is both fun and educational. I love reading the animal descriptions and learning about different species. Classic Fun

This is the only game I've found where one may take the disk out in the middle of playing and continue as though nothing happened. Which makes it particularly good if two people want to play it at the same time, as I started playing with someone elsse's copy this was a convenient feature. It's simple enough to set up, I managed to set it up with ease as a child in grade school.

There is a mild educational value as well to the game as it explains where the animals come from and general information about them. It can be a good lesson in balancing funds to optimise profit, but that's a bit of a stretch.

Love this game!

I remember playing this as a kid, still as good as an adult. Engaging game, the complete set includes all animals, exhibits, etc. It works great on my Windows 10 computer. Easy installation.

All the Tycoon games are good.

They're inexpensive, loads of fun, great for young and older players. You like the SIMMs stuff, the Tycoon series is right up your alley. I got ALL the games for my 9 year old son. Between that and Runescape, he'll be busy for the next 2 years! Go for the games on ebay an the average of $10 - $15 each and you have a great deal. Build your zoo, build your hospital, amusement park, ship, hotel, school, airport...etc... enjoy them all! (-:
