Yes, i am happy to review a Mary-kate and Ashley dvd. I am an older fan of theirs and hold a high opinion of their respectful careers.
I have 4 "your invited " compilation dvd's and i rate this one to be their best. Maybe it is because the girls are young teenagers here, and the story line is based solely on the trials and dramas on being a young teen wanting to have fun at the school dance. I found it relative and entertaining !
The video has four catchy songs sung by the girls and their friends. My favorite is " the waiting game". They all are somewhat cheesy but i expected that and find it easy to gloss over it and sing along with them.
Mary-kate and Ashley are simply stunning !!! they strike numerous poses throughout the show and the clothes are always super stylish and hip. They just make me smile #@! My favorite outfits are the black dresses that they wear to the dance ( cover picture ) and many of the other outfits have been copied to their dolls range ( i think ?).
The girls show their dancing skills on the dance floor and get into some swing. It reminds me of the episode on Two of a kind when they swing dance. I suppose this video was shot soon after it.
They show a myriad of bloopers at the end (as usual) and there is a ripper where a bee joins in the action.
The other section of the dvd showcases the girls at a younger age singing a variety of songs and telling jokes. It's all good fun !!
I do rate this the best in their series and coming in second would be their " fashion party " video. I wish they did more but then they wouldn't have had time to do their full length movies like "Passport to Paris" or "Our lips are sealed" !
I would certainly recommend this dvd as a good buy for preteen girls and young family viewing.
