Hydraulic punch set for ball bearing price

I haven't actually used it yet, but I want to let potential buyers know that the dies do not have the cross-hair alignment marks like the green ones. The case is a simple metal box with chintzy latches and no molded or welded liner to organize and protect the dies. Everything rolls around loose in the box. It is shipped with a styrofoam packaging inside to protect the dies during shipment, but this foam is not usable upon arrival. The carry handle is a simple canvas strap with a thin leathery wrap, it is not metal like the case. With all of that said, the set appears to be serviceable. If I have any performance issues with the latches or handle, I will replace them with something from the hardware store. When I get a chance, I will use my hole saws to build something to hold and protect the dies using blocks of 2x4. I will also scribe some alignment marks. I'm sure it will do fine. I would rather put up with these shortcomings than use a ratcheting type punch set. It would be great if this seller would offer an expansion set for 2-1/2", 3", 3-1/2", 4" sizes.Lire l'avis complet...

Good for the money.

Light weight and effective, 1/2" through 2" knockout set in a metal case. Only down side to this set is the Styrofoam insert for housing the dies, I'm sure it wont last very long with use. I'll have construct a plastic or wooden insert to keep the die set, drive bolts, and spacers from bouncing around in the case and damaging the hydraulic ram. Lire l'avis complet...

Surprisingly good quality, for the cost.

The 10 ton hydraulic knockout punch set is a great bargain. costing less than a single standard wrench powered knockout punch. And the quality was excellent. Easily punched the largest size hole in 18ga. stainless steel with no noticeable wear. The kit came with replacement "O"rings to rebuild the cylinders.
I plan on using this great tool for years. And, I recommend it to electricians, plumbers, mechanics, and handymen. Lire l'avis complet...
