Wooden Yamamoto HS-1A Great sound improvement.
Yamamoto HS-1A Wooden headshell is a great, well made headshell that really improve the sound.
I didn't know what to expect, but from the first minytes I knew it impacted the sound..
It smoithed out the sound, made it more natural, took off some harshness from highs.
It also resonate with cartridge a bit, adding some fullness to the sound.
Be sure you use washers under the screw heads.
Don't tighten the screws too much for the best sound..
Don't be surprised when the screws will be almost all the way in the front of the channels.
Love the straight front edge, easy to align cartridge properly.
Use it with new good leads.

Well made, dead quiet, lightweight headshell, at a very reasonable price.
Very well made, sonically dead (no added harmonics, only what the phono cartridge reveals), and very reasonably priced. This is a fairly light weight headshell, which is just what I needed. There are too many on the market that weigh 3 to 8 grams more. It's preferable to have the counterbalance closer to the pivot point and this light weight headshell provides that. The headshell leads are just average, but I expected nothing more, especially at the price. I replaced those with Audioquest leads, as I had intended to do. A very good product at a very good price.
