Outstanding features and quality

Spent a ton of time and money working with the old Teac/Tascam 244s finally said enough and sold those and bought this Yamaha. I have always been a huge fan of Yamaha boards so I felt this would be a great next option. And I was right!.A little more complicated in a couple respects than the 244s but not bad. Read the manual three times and off to the races. The ease of operation once you know the steps is awesome and the quality is vastly superior to what I have had before. I use it to record directly my live sessions and the result is really nealy perfect. Then I mix down onto a stereo cassette and during mixdown can make really close to perfect studio quality masters. Then onto the CD Recorder, Then into the Computer and then whatever. Awesome stuff saving me tens of thousands in studio costs.Lire l'avis complet

Great Alternative to Tascam 424

If you like warm tape sound without consumer grade recorders noise?
I'm blown away by how fast that machine rects on all buttons, it's so snappy.
Sound on double speed is better than I wanted but you can always fine tune
speed as well and what's really important you can do it in a real time and it sounds
fantastic.

EQ is pretty useful, more than enough of gain, simple and smart routing,
NO menu diving!!!

I can go on and on, it's the level of Tscam 424 Mk2 I used to have.

Great 4 track from 1994

when I first got this,it took me quite a while to figure out but one thing I've noticed is that it didn't have any problems booting up or playing tapes. Which to me is a good thing,you can also use it for live streaming/recording which to me is a bonus. Lire l'avis complet

Nice 4 track Yamaha recorder and good quality. Needed something to play back all my recording on from back in the day.

Great sounding multi-tracker

Great sounding multitrack. Sounds better than my previous Tascam 414 mkII. My only complaint is some of knobs feel a bit flimsy.
