Great for acoustic digital piano voice samples
I use two of these in stereo for my digital pianos (Yamaha P-200, P-125, P-515), which I play almost exclusively using acoustic piano voice samples with a split keyboard (acoustic bass on the lower voice). The sound is amazing for both voices. I have had several puzzled people from the audience ask me where the bass is coming from and when I explain, they are so surprised that "it sounds like a real acoustic bass!" There is no comparison to my "keyboard amp", which sounds good for most voices EXCEPT acoustic piano samples. I use these on Yamaha stands (which are inexpensive, super light, but do the job) and connect everything to an MG06X mixer so that I can run longer, balanced XLR cables to them. Be sure to get the Yamaha brand covers for them. The covers are a bit pricey but you will want to protect these speakers so that you can keep them forever! They also are a perfect fit. These speakers put out plenty of volume but don't let their 1000 watt rating (2000 watts for a pair) stupefy you. You still need to crank these babies up pretty high, even in medium-sized clubs. The 12" speakers are more than sufficient for rendering excellent bass and I'm glad I did not go with the heavier DBR15's. You also might want to invest in longer power cords as I did. I added a 25' cord so that the speaker farthest from my extension box could be hooked up directly without using an extension cord.

Awesome, super capable speakers!
I bought a pair of these DBR12 speakers to use for occasional DJing and band use, as well as listening to music at my house since I like loud music. After doing research on several other brands of PA speakers of similar size and power, it just made so much more sense to get the Yamaha, especially since I know how good Yamaha is with basically everything they make and I've had great experiences with their products. My first impression after unboxing was that they are very visually appealing and well constructed, and have a very nice weight to them. Let's just say I was blown away at the volume and sound quality these things have when I listened for the first time! I was able to turn the volume all the way up with no distortion or clipping whatsoever and they took it like it was nothing, I wouldn't be concerned about doing it for hours straight. Another thing I like is that they have cooling fans in the amplifiers to keep them cool which is nice if you use them outside or for a very long time. For the price, there's no way you'll find a better speaker, and I would 100% recommend without hesitation, you won't be disappointed with these Yamaha speakers. Another thing to mention is that I have had a lot of experience using DBR10s as well, and think they are excellent especially for their size and price. They are actually what turned me on to the DBR series and I knew from using those that the DBR12s wouldn't disappoint me.Lire l'avis complet...

Easily to transport, easy to set up for both PA and or Stage Monitor, Sound quality is exceptional, pick up both highs and lows.
The system is awesome. The band is having a great time adjusting to sound quality for both vocal and instruments. Easy to set up and with added mixer can easily accommodate 3 mics and 3 instruments. Have had no issues with feed back or reverb. A great investment.Lire l'avis complet...
