Wolverine F2D 35mm Film to Digital Converter

This device is very easy to use. Some improvements could be made to the USER MANUAL. On page 8, placing slides, it should be mentioned to install the slide into the Slide Tray so that the entire field is filled. This may require the user to rotate the slide first before inserting it into the tray. The image can be rotated after the slide has been scanned. Another design shortcoming is the fact that an SC card MUST be installed to save the scan. One cannot save the scan directly to the computer because there is no driver for this device.
This product functions exactly as the USER MANUAL says it does and I believe it's worth whatever one spends to own one.

Very easy to use

I found almost 1500 slides in my mother's things after she passed and didn't know what to do with them. I asked at the photo processing desk but they said they don't process these anymore. The other equipment I found to convert slides to digital had to be compatible to a specific computer processor and I wasn't finding any that was compatible with mine until the Wolverine. So easy to set up...just plug in, insert slides, save....that's it. I did find that I needed to check frequently my memory card because it did not save every time and required repeating. But I now have all of my mother's slides converted to CD and have been able to copy them for other members of the family.Lire l'avis complet...

Grand for the money

Very easy to set up and use. I've scanned and saved about a thousand slides in the month since I bought it.
Some do need additional editing, once on the computer, but that says more about the age and condition of the slides than the scanner. My only beef is with the little doors through which the scanner is accessed. They are flaps through which a slide tray is slid. Their hinges are very fragile and one side is already broken. But even so, the slides still photograph well.Lire l'avis complet...

Wonderful tool

I had another one that I used for decades until it gave up the ghost. Bought a different digitizer from another company and threw it away when it would not work properly . Glad to have the original one back. I use it daily on railroad themed slides and negatives that have been donated to our railroad museum. Once digitized, I take the sd card to my Mac and burn a CD so people can see images iof trains originally photographed a long time ago. Lire l'avis complet...

Simple But Effective

I used this to convert some very old 35mm slides that my dad had stored away for years. The resulting images came out with a resolution of about 2000x1400 and the clarity was excellent.

Pros: <br>+ You can save directly to SD card, so it doesn't matter what operating system you use. Images get converted to jpg and as long as your OS can read them you are good to go.

+ Good resolution and clarity.

Con:

- The interface on the device is a bit clunky, but it's easy to read the directions and get into a "groove" to make converting hundreds of slides fairly simple and mindless.

Wolverine F2D scanner

I purchased this awaiting pics/negs that were taken from my parents estate. I tried this on a few negitives I had. I have to tell you all I'm pretty hard to impress and I'm impressed. It's fast and the quality on the few I did was pretty good. I read a lot of reviews before buying this and took the chance and I'm very glad I did. I can't tell ya all how long it will last a few questions come un answered like how big of a SD card can be used with this unit comes with a 1G SD card. But to get fast results good copy without even using a photo repair program "This works". I will be buying a couple of extra frames to cut/modify to fit a ton of older 110 & old box type negs my parents had of past family I just hope it holds up to all I have planned for it. Do your home work read reviews to feel comfortable with what you need and compare it to what your going to get. Best of luck to all.Lire l'avis complet...

Wolverine Data f2d200 Desk top scanner

The scanner hooked up easily and operated as advertised.
Depending on the brightness of the item copied, it sometimes left the copy too dark but not a problem on lighter slides.
Negatives copied very well too.
Recommend that you use the option to save to the removable disk for continuous operation and speedier copying without pausing to download the internal memory.
Keep the scanning surface clean with the brush provided, otherwise you end up with specs, hairs or dust particles all over your copies.
Bottom line is a really good method to copy to digital storage for slides and negatives. a lot cheaper and faster than sending the items to a commercial company.

Slide Converter

Very easy to use. The window to view the photos is a bit small but it is easy to transfer to a computer. For the price and the ability to do it on your own it is definitely worth it.
