This movie was just so dreamy. Jessica brown Findlay lived up to and exceeded expectations following her delightful work on downton Abby. Colin Farrell was unexpectedly charming and heroic. I truthfully didn't expect to love the story as much as I did. I haven't read the book but was merely attracted by the fairy tale nature of the trailers. It is most definitely a fantasy and does not adhere to any level of being "real life" so go in with eyes open. Please enjoy this movie for what it brings to the table. Fantasy tale, with a little real-life traction and some feel-good moments thrown in.

A tale of good vs evil, personified by Colin Farrell and Russell Crowe respectively, interspersed with a love story with the former and Jessica Brown Findlay.

Romance back in the day

Nice romance movie without the "f" bomb. Of course I liked it much better on the big screen but still captivating on blue-ray. A movie I will watch multiple times.
