Willie Nelson narrates and strums on his guitar
Willie Nelson has a great voice, plays arpeggios periodically during his recitations of exciting Louie L'Amour stories, which makes it more exciting, I thought. The stories are typical Louie L'Amour adventures of posse's hunting down suspects, and viewing the chase from both sides as it moves along. It makes me happy to think I'm not living in those days, but the writing is colorful as the excitement of the chase builds.....which is hard to do in a story taking place in the desert. There are 4 stories of Louie's, told by his knowledge of the West, the terrain, and Indian Lore. And Willie Nelson can't be beat for his down home type narrations.Lire l'avis complet...

I love both of these artists! I bought this because of that. Willie's voice is great for Country songs, but reading is not his forte. Although he is GOOD, he is not Excellent. I LOVE the stories he selected though.Lire l'avis complet...
