Good device.

The clamp works well. The adjustment for differing sizes is useful. The only issue is light skin irritation after a long period of wear and especially when sweat occurs.

More comfortable than others I tried

I developed a condition that needed a product such as this. I found three different style clamps were available for almost the same price. I bought one of each and gave them a try.

The Weisner was the most reliable and comfortable of the three for me although comfortable is a relative term.

I have had no issues but am cautious as I see a nasty pinch point on the ratcheting latch. Take care to make sure everything is out of the way before connecting it.

PRODUCT QUALITY

I rated this product good, however there is a defect / weak area between where the ratchet and the pad. over time this area becomes weak and breaks off. The plastic could be just a little thicker. I have had 3 break in the same place. I tried to super glue it, but that did not work. Also,, it would be great if I could just order replacement pads. Something to consider?.Lire l'avis complet...

this works......give it a try....and it doesn't hurt.

when I changed the size the plastic tabs broke....it could have been my error.....Weisner replaced the whole product and said they were working on the problem.....before the new size arrived the product definitely works....but I had a slight leakage and needed the smaller size for complete control......I would recommend this product to any man with a bladder leakage problem......I wish they had one for women.....I know a lot of women that would buy it........I'm 90 Lire l'avis complet...

Works well, comfortable, reasonably priced also. Kudos to Mr. Wiesner.

So far (after over 2 month's use) am still very happy with this clamp. It's comfortable, and it works well stopping leaks. I'd been using a different clamp for years, one that is no longer sold (and they do eventually wear out), so I am very happy to find a replacement available that is also satisfactory. In fact, just bought another as back-up, because who knows how long Wiesner will be in business.
Some advice:
A) The clamp is hinged on one side, with some adjustment for tightness on the other. If the looser settings are used, the clamp is open more to one side and there's a tendency for it to slide sideways. Then the raised part that shuts off the urinary tube is no longer in optimal position. So it's best to use the insert that permits you to close the clamp as much as possible (with comfort as your guide, of course.)
B) I find it helpful to use talc as a skin protectant, applied to the penis and the clamp. Avoid breathing talc dust however, it's a carcinogen if it gets inside the body. Corn starch isn't quite as good IMHO.
C) Kegels will decrease your general leakiness, even if they won't solve it. When you can knock off 100 sphincter contractions, you'll definitely see the change, maybe sooner than that. The urinary sphincter muscle gets bigger and stronger, like any muscle. Can you stop your flow mid-stream voluntarily and completely? Also learn to tighten up automatically when doing things that cause leakage, like bending down to pick up an item.
D) None of these clamps are perfect. There's a trade-off between leak-stoppage and comfort - ie. how tight they can be made. To take care of small leaks, buy some toddler-size socks. Trim off the elastic and perforate the edge. Hang it around your waist with a shoe lace, and use it to hold a small urine-absorbant pad (20 for $1 at Dollar Tree) in place over the penis & clamp to catch minor drips.
E) I do not advise wearing a clamp all night. Give that ol' penis a break if you can. I just use a somewhat larger size urine-absorbant pad at night, with no clamp, just hold it in place with an elastic around the penis.
F) Coffee will usually increase one's leakage.

pretty good product after i modify it.

I have been using the clamp for about 15 years. The first thing I do with it is remove the rubber from the top and take a file and file that ridge off because it hurts the top of my penis. I don't know why the company puts that on it because the urethra is on the bottom of penis and the top has nothing to do with the flow of urine. I guess non of the company's employees ever wore the clamp.Lire l'avis complet...

A Lifesaver In Potentially Embarrassing Situations

This clamp is the lower-priced version of the high-priced spread that sells for up to twice as much, sometimes even more, and, as far as I can tell, they are identical.

Even better, this works! I'm older, with an enlarged prostate, and am prone to sudden, unexpected urge incontinence, occasionally in the most embarrassing circumstances when I can't reach a bathroom. I carry one of these with me at all times, to use when that happens.

Applied on the tightest setting, it simply halts any leakage cold, and does so almost indefinitely. This allows me the time to get to someplace where I can release the pressure. I would, however, caution against leaving it that tight for extended periods.

Even better, it's easy and simple to use. Highly recommended.

Do yourself a huge favor and get this product. It's worth every penny!!

The Clamp is quite easy to use. It does a fantastic job of stopping the constant leakage I experienced before I began to use it.

It does need to be cleaned frequently (twice daily for me, since I wear briefs and a Depends pad, so there isn't a lot of ventilation down there, which makes for a good bit of sweat and grunge), but it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind and self-confidence The Clamp affords me.

This is an excellent product, a godsend for me. My recent prostate surgery and subsequent ED are enough difficulties to contend with, but at least the worry about leaking has been eliminated!

Also, now I'm not spending anywhere near the amount of money I was spending on Depends and bed sheet covers.

I HIGHLY recommend this fine product!!

Previously a good product which has been revised with very poor quality.

The product supplied is not exactly the same as the one shown in your advertisement. The product supplied is in my opinion inferior to the previous one and has exchangeable pressure bridges which do not fit correctly and cause chaffing. Wiesner need to look at their quality control and poor castings which can cause irritation.Lire l'avis complet...

This clamp works great!

I tried this clamp after buying two other brands. They were painful to wear, and I couldn’t wear it for more than hour at a time. I wore the Wiesner clamp all day from day one. It’s comfortable, and easy to clean. This is the second one I have purchased. It works, it’s comfortable, and half the price of the others.Lire l'avis complet...
